Baby Boy: week 20

How far along: 20 weeks (well 20 weeks 3 days)

How big is the baby: according to my tracker he is the size of banana, at 10 1/2 ozs and 6 1/2 inches long.

Total weight gain: At my 20 week appointment I had finally stopped losing weight and started to gain some back. So in total I lost 8lbs and put back on 2 so far.

Sleep: I wish, I have to get up to pee every 3 hours then my hips are killing me and my back is hurting or I wake up because I am on my back and that wakes me up too.

Best moment of the week: Well feeling the little man move all around is so much fun but at the moment trying to pick out a name for this little one and finally getting down to 2 is a great feeling. Now we just have to figure out which one fits.

Food cravings: Well for some reason I really wanted just plain vanilla ice cream the other night and I ate almost the entire pint of it. Man it was good and vanilla was always one of my least favorite flavors

Food aversions: Still chicken, mushrooms and anything with a strange texture.

Symptoms: I'm having some super fun round ligament pains. Mainly at night which is super fun and when I stand up too fast, and of course all the usual heartburn, back pain, headaches.

Gender: It's a BOY. I was so super surprised I was so sure he was a she, it took a few days to sink in and now I am getting nervous about dealing with a boy since I have no clue what I am doing.

What I'm looking forward too: I'm excited to get all of his room ready and order all of his furniture.

What I miss: Being able to sleep on my back, that was always how I slept the best and I'm having a hard time adjusting to staying on my side.

Next appointment: June 12th

We are having a........

I have to say I was shocked. I really really thought it was going to be another girl. Looking back I think I was scared to have a boy. One because I didn't have a male figure in my life growing up so I think that influenced me and also I know girls so I thought it would be easier to have something I already knew. However seeing my husband's reaction when he found out we were having a boy made me so super excited. Don't get me wrong he loves our daughter but I think he really wanted a boy (like I think a lot of men do).
All of the tests and measurements came out wonderfully, my chances of downs and spinal bifida and very low and the trisomy tests were all negative. SO glad we have a healthy growing baby boy. I know how hard some people struggle to have a child and I am so blessed to be able to have 2 healthy wonderful children and I would NEVER take that for granted!

It took me a little bit of time to get use to the thought of having a boy but now I am super stoked! Addison will be our only little princess and I am happy about that too. So now I get to buy all new boy clothes, and learn to think boy. Also the little man is very very different pregnancy wise that Addison was, he is super active already and is punching and kicking away. I don't even think I was feeling Addison move at this point. I think I am in for a much different baby than Addison was.
Picking names is going to be a different story though. We had Addison's name already picked out before we even knew she was a girl and the boy name that we sorta liked for her we don't like anymore and we just can not agree at all on a name. We have a few that got a maybe from both of us but nothing that screams yes this is the name of our little man. So if anyone has any boys names they want to throw my way feel free!
Yay for our little (no name) man!!!!!

Baby #2: 18 week update

How far along: 18 weeks 1 day today (I have been so bad about keeping up with taking bump pictures)

How  big is the baby: According to my weekly update the size of a mango this week 6 inches long and .5 lbs

Total weight gain: None actually, I have lost 8 lbs from my first Dr visit. My doctor is slightly concerned but because I was big to begin with she just wants me to stop losing at this point.

Sleep: Eh, on and off, my back has been really hurting me so it wakes me up at night. Plus I keep waking up on my back which is suppose to be a no no but I can't seem to control what I do when I am sleeping.

Best moment of the week: Gosh this week was a good one. Lots of good things. First it was Addison's birthday party which was a blast, then my birthday was a few days later and the hubs surprised me with 3 months of prenatal massages (AH!). Plus this little one has been moving around a ton and that is always my favorite thing about being pregnant. I got to go out 2 times for my birthday dinner to 2 of my fave places and on Wed we have our big ultrasound and find out what we are having (hopefully!) Yay for good weeks!

Food cravings: Mostly salty things but I have been craving strawberries with sugar thanks to my friend Jeni, I think I have eaten 4 or 5 cartons in the last week! Also red meat but that has been pretty constant.

Food aversions: Chicken, still yuck! Mushrooms which I generally love but make me feel ill now, I think it is the texture. I seem to be very sensitive to textures and if I get something with a strange texture I can't eat anything else.

Symptoms: Luckily the nausea seems to be subsiding, I don't have to take my meds every day and that is great! I have been having heartburn and some headaches and lots of back pain.

Gender: We find out on wed!!!!

What I'm looking forward too: Seeing our little one on Wed and making sure everything is okay with him/her.

What I miss: Being able to eat chicken without feeling ill. That was my go to protein before I get pregnant and I can't eat it now. Also for some reason beer looks so good to me even though I didn't really drink it much before.

Next appointment: Wed. I have both my big ultrasound and my 19 week appt with my doctor.

Addison's 2nd birthday party

This past Saturday we had Addison's 2nd birthday party. Yo Gabba Gabba themed. It was a ton of fun. We had a bunch of people over, all the grandparents and a ton of Addison's friends. I think it came to 10 kids and around 20 adults.

Her birthday cake was amazing. I wish I could say that I made it but no I had it made by a local lady here in Charleston Peytie Cakes. Her cake making is amazing and very reasonably priced!

I actually won the cupcake toppers from Sarah's blog they are by Mykoola's Frosting and made the cupcakes. They were a big hit too!

I didn't take a ton of photos of the day because I wanted to just enjoy it but I did get a few playing outside and of the candle blowing out. I handed the camera over to Addison's godmother and she took some too but I didn't really check the settings so they are a little underexposed but I just wanted the memories.

I do love her face in this one! Apparently someone was not happy about something. Her shirt was made by another local company Snips, Snails and Fairytales

My good friend brought her bounce house and it was a hit, all the kids loved playing in it!

Blowing out her candles and eating her cake. Or more correctly not eating her cake since she doesn't like cake or sweets really at all. I finished off her piece.

I just got some random shots of all the people that were at the party.

And of course opening her presents!

WW: Trip to the beach

I have been away from the Internet for a while now. First Addison had her 2nd birthday and then the next day she got strep throat and that was horrible! Then I had to get ready for her actual party (the weekend after her actual birthday hopefully I will get those pictures up soon) and had Addison's god mother come and stay with us. So we have been really busy and I haven't had time to edit any of the photos I took.
Oh and not to mention today is my 33rd birthday too!
So these are just some of the nature shots I got one of the days we went to the beach.

Luckily for us the dolphins were out and I got some good shots of them. They were fairly close to the shore and were playing around for a few minutes.

Of course I did get some shots of the "super moon" too.
