First trip

This past weekend was Addison's first overnight trip (well unless you count the hospital). We went to NC to visit my extended family. Most of them have never met Addison, since they pretty much never travel anywhere.

This is how I spent New Years, traveling to see family. Here we are at a stop we made along the way for a bottle, diaper change and bathroom break. We had a very packed weekend. We were only in NC from Saturday afternoon until mid day on Monday and we saw and visited with lots of people.

When we got to NC we got started on the important things, opening our new gifts. The adults visited and ate supper, since in the south a visit means eating dinner too!

She met her aunt L who she had never met before, they came to my Grandma's house where we were staying the night we got in.

Addison spent most of the time at my Grandma's playing with all of her toys. I managed to catch this really cool picture. See the turkey in the background, it was a big hit, it plays a song and dances. She wanted us to start it over every time it stopped.

Her cousin who is 2 months and 10 days older than her came over to visit too.  She was very interested in everything he did. He was way more interested in her stuff. (with my uncle R, his papa)

We got a picture of the cousins together (Little S's daddy). Little S does not like to be held down or stopped from doing what he wants to do.

The only time he seemed interested in her was when we put her in his walker (she had never been in one) and he was jealous, he was also trying to climb in with her and push her around in it. (my Grandma and Aunt P in the background and Little S's mom's legs)

She also met her great aunt A and her second cousin V ( and her great uncle F but we didn't get a picture with him since she did not like him).

4 (well 3) generations. My Grandma, me and Addison. This is my Dad's mom (my dad has not been around for some time, like 25 years) she is the only living blood grandparent I have left. Addison was very tired after her full weekend and it was past her nap time in this picture. She looks so sad.

This is Addison meeting my step grandma, my step dad's mom. My step grandpa died right after Addison was born so she never got to meet him, this was her first time meeting this Grandma.
